Lindsay Connors

I am drawn to the insignificant and overlooked: humble and everyday objects, materials and matter that we take for granted but which signify a commonality of cultural experience. These quotidian elements act as emblems that we recognise and identify with; that we think we know and understand. Placed within a different context they take on a new life: sometimes rhyming with, or sparking against each other; sometimes whimsical or weighty with significance.

As a multi media artist, my work is a response to these possibilities, the medium selected as the most appropriate for each work.
