Statement

I am drawn to the insignificant and overlooked: humble, everyday objects and matter that we take for granted. Yet these quotidian elements represent a commonality of cultural experience. They act as emblems that we recognise and identify with; that we think we know and understand. Placed within a different context they take on a new life: sometimes rhyming with, or sparking against each other; sometimes whimsical, sometimes weighty.

As a multi media artist, my work is a response to these possibilities, the medium selected as the most appropriate for each work.
